8 bedroom plants that help you sleep better at night

 

There are a gazillion tips and tricks for getting better sleep at night including swapping out your mattress, turning your air conditioner down and keeping the TV and phone off for an hour before your head hits the pillow. But, there’s one trick you may not be familiar with: put a little greenery in the bedroom.
There are some who argue that plants in the bedroom are not beneficial (particularly, placement of plants in the bedroom goes against the practice of Feng Shui, according to Feng Shui Nexus. However, there are numerous benefits of having plants in the sleeping quarters including improved air quality, increased humidity levels, and mood boosting properties.
If you want to try sleeping with greenery in the bedroom, try these plants:
1. Snake Plant (Sansevieria):
While this plant may look a bit snooty (tall and rigid), this plant ranks among the top for indoor plant options. The Snake Plant (and other variations including Mother-in-Law’s Tongue) help remove nitrogen, xylene, and formaldehyde from the air, according to NASA.
2. English Ivy
In addition to being pretty, this plant is hardy and it’s low maintenance. This plant helps clean the air of toxins such as trichloroethylene, formaldehyde, benzene and Xylene.
