Bacon Baked Beans Recipe

  • 6 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cans (15 ounces each) baked beans
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the cooked bacon from the skillet, leaving the bacon drippings in the pan.
  3. In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, or until the onion becomes translucent.
  4. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, combine the baked beans, sautéed onions, cooked bacon, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  5. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the beans are hot and bubbly, and the top is slightly caramelized.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the bacon baked beans cool for a few minutes before serving.
