A few years ago, I was on a road trip with some of my closest friends, and we stopped at this diner that served the most incredible BLT sandwiches. We were all skeptical at first, wondering how someone could possibly elevate such a simple sandwich, but from the first bite, we were in awe. Classic BLT Sandwich Recipe

-6 slices bacon
-2 slices of bread
-1/2 cup mayonnaise
-1 tbsp lemon juice
-1/2 tbsp garlic powder
-1 small tomato, sliced
-2 leaves of lettuce
1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on a paper towel and set aside.
2. Toast the slices of bread to your desired level of crispiness.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and garlic powder to make the secret sauce.
4. Spread the secret sauce on one side of each slice of toast.
5. Layer the bacon, lettuce, and tomato slices on one slice of toast.
6. Top with the other slice of toast, sauce side down.
7. Cut the sandwich in half and enjoy!
